i DID find my sailormoon cards/stickerbooks/placemats/stationary/colouring books/toys (minus the wand... i dont have the wand no mo ). i also bought the sailormoon series when i went back home last weekend. talk about a GOOD BUY!!! 4/5 seasons came to about $50... i still hafta find the last season... the one with the sailor stars and chibichibimoon. if you have any info about the wherabouts, PLEASE let me know!

i am studying for midterms atm.
i think im in a good place, i am enjoying life.

so rachel was watching old sailormoon episodes...
then we started looking at youtube videos of TOYS we had as children. apparently theyre worth lots of money now.

i used to have these:
jewelry box (with the moon crystal!) that played the lovely theme :)

chibimoon wand, the japanese version

i really really really really hope i can find them somewhere at home. my heart will break if i cant. the voice from the wand is pretty annoying though hehe

i am done exams!!! i finished at 8pm today... yayyy!!!!!
now, just SEVEN DAYS until i go home. ugh, the beauty of a retail job.
i am looking forward to (pending):
-christmas day, family time
-long, winter walks with alvin
-holiday cooking/baking
-dessert (chinese AND... italian/french?)
-sleepover with girlies
-yuzu
-boxing week shopping
-new years

on december 7, 2008, i wrote this in my diary/journal:

a week ago today, our house got broken into. it was the weekend of our 19th birthday extravaganza (rachel, mendy, me). to be honest, i think it was the most fun-filled week of my life...! alvin came to visit on my actual birthday weekend... my first legal drink was a fuzzy navel (tehe) and we went to this cozy bistro called blackfriars. then alvin asked if we could take a walk down richmond and goto marbleslab, and he surprised me with an icecream cake haha!! it was a really intimate, good night. he got a cashmere cardigan and shirt from club monaco, and a "doctor's kit" full of socks and gloves/mitts lol [cause i always seem to make big, gaping holes in these things]. following that great weekend, kevin sin and jess decided to cook dinner for the three of us... we got steak, shepherds pie, sausage rolls, salad, garlic bread, shrimp and yummy almond toffee mouse cake! rachel got me almond milk beeswax handcreme (mmm <3) and mendy got me a hairband thats very reminiscent of jackie o. the day after that we went to the ceeps for sledgehammer bingo with jess, rach, kev, cara, dave and jordan. tom collins drink tasted a lot like mountain dew to me. and finally on friday was our bigarse HOUSE PARTY: castaway themed!! im proud to say that the party was a huge success :) lots and lots of people came, and i got to meet a buncha uhs people which was ultra cool. i also had my first tequila shot and it wasnt bad! anyway we had a big slumber party obviously, stayed up til 6am and woke up four hours later to clean up our trashed house. not too long after that it was time to dress up for the night ouut at 29park. we had a close-knit group of about 12? people and it was sooo much fun!! i didnt think that i would have that much fun clubbing but it was really enjoyable, actually! i guess it all depends on the people you go with...

we left the club at like 2:30 and got split up into three cabs. i discovered the breakin since i was in the first cab home.. when i tried to open the doori realized that the cahin lock was in, and i knew what had happened already. i got so mad i barged through the door, breaking my doorframe and ran to my room, and it had been trashed. they opened all my drawers, rummaged through my clothes and even ripped birthday cards to look for cash. they found my macbook, stole my digicam, polaroid cam, ipod, some accessories and a tissue box holder... what?! they mangled the lock on my door and mage a mess of my room :( mendy didnt get her laptop stolen (she hid it in the closet) but jess' friend tk did... he was our guest from waterloo! ugh, it obviously wasnt a good night. what was wierd was that we were so so precautious. we locked all doors/windows, bedroom doors, hid our laptops (mine was in the mattress) and even kept the lights on before we left the house. i think we were watched for a few days before the incident. they knew we were out.

well, up until that moment, it was an amazing week. i wish they didnt hafta take my camera, or atleast leave my memory card (which has my name on it) so i could have some of my own documentation of the week T_T ARGH.

anyway, its been a full week now. everyone is using someone elses old laptop temporarily. alvin reformatted his laptop and gave it to my parents to give to me on the very next morning. i love him so much, hes been nothing but supportive and caring for me since the incident, promising to help me replace everything that i had lost and helping me fall asleep every night. its been a slow, tough week but were definitely doing better now <3 lots of love and support came from our peers, and in the end everyone was thankful that noone got hurt. if there was one good thing that came our of this incident, it was that our house was able to grow closer to one another... not that we werent tight before, but now i find that weve been able to laugh harder at just about anything, and for that i am so thankful. im so thankful for God's constant protection over me.. this year has been so crazy! i dont remember writing about my highway car accident back in may (with steph). this year has been one full of growth and experience and maturity for me. 2008 is coming to an end, and i can say with full confidence that it has been one of the best years of my life, so far. im going to live twice as hard, from now on.

something (more) dumb happened to me today... i was eating pizza at doreen's house. it was one of those mccain pizzas and it was fresh out of the oven so it was very very hot. and you know how sometimes when you bite into the slice you only get the cheese and sauce underneath it, but not the bottom crust itself? ya well that happened to me today except the cheese that DID come off was very big and it slapped against my chin and burnnnnnned!!! after that my chin felt a kinda tingly and i had scalded it a bit... plus theres an awesome pimple (from the cheese oil?) brewing on it now as well. so now my chin stings a bit from the burn but it also feels uncomfortable with the pimple pushing up against my skin. its a big one, i can feel it.

i find it fascinating how people can listen to their ipods/mp3s all day long. people turn on their music even during the shortest intervals... like a 5min walk across campus to the next class, and i dont get it. i dont get whats so great about having noise in my head during my bus rides, or while i walk home. i got my ipod as a giveaway from when i bought my macbook. i did use it for a time being... but i dont think ive touched it since the beginning of summer and i dont miss it one bit. i do listen to music on my computer, but i dont find the need to have a melody in my head when im out and about. to be honest, id much rather listen to trees rustling and birds chirping. you might argue that theres very little of that in the city, and i guess thats especially true in the winter... but if youre so attached to your ipod all 365 days then you will miss the birds chirping when they come back, wouldnt you? sure you would, youre too busy listening to ne-yo. instead of listening to my ipod during car/bus rides, i enjoy staring out the window, brainstorming and eavesdropping :) im not a creep i swear.

i dont really know what im getting at with this entry exactly... just that regular, prolonged use of mp3 players could potentially have some drastic ramifications... like increased alienation from nature and others, and deafness. very few people are bothered by that though :T maybe its cause we perceive ourselves to be too young to suffer from these types of things. hmmm, loud music = hasty aging?

why not turn down your musics, or try going cold-turkey for a week! :D

everyonee!!! did you know that carpooling is illegal unless the carpooler's destination is their place of work?! its a very very old ontarian law that noone ever bothered to revise. i read it in the gazette today.... crazinesss! so yes, if you drive your friend back home, its illegal. DONT DO IT, GUYSS! :P

grace's guide on how to look like a hobo:
[x] - get less than 5hrs of sleep
[x] - wear glasses, put hair in messy bun and push bangs back
[x] - wear an old, stained hoodie and some very comfortable baggy sweatpants
[x] - walk in the rain without an umbrella
[x] - get VERY splashed in muddy water by a truck, making wet one side of your hair/face/body

... i cant believe it actually made my face wet :( i felt do DIRTY!!!

but on the bright side, my 3hr psych class was canceled today cause the prof is sick... its good for me, not the prof of course.

so i got my nice bachelor of social work application package a couple days ago. its quiite nervewracking! i hafta go to a group interview, have two reference forms filled, create a personal profile and portfolio/resume. i guess its not THAT much work but remember when i was too lazy to complete my queens concurrent education application? yea... i dont like admin stuff i suppose. dumb excuse, i know.

OH, and i am so so so so so soooo excited for my birthday weeeek! :D

my weekend has been tres productive. i stayed in and studied on thursday, friday, and saturday -_- today i went to church, then downtown with the housemates for some shoppping. i bought a fall button-up sweater on sale for $34 down from $68 from frilly lizard :) the arms are a bit frumpy/puffy but i think if i wear a long-sleeve with it, itll be all goood.

my mommy sent in some salmon steak for me, mmmm <3 salmon is too expensive to buy for myself lol
im going home in 5 days oh my! i am excited to see boyfriend, and hopefully dem chicks to watch hsm3... >_> i havent even seen the first two movies though

i just finished the last midterm of my midterm fiesta this week. it was statistics so i had right to worry. i studied so so so hard for this exam, and i was able to finish all the questions... which is good. i went back to check one question that i was unsure about. i was afraid that i used the wrong formula. after i thought about it i changed the formula once, and then back to the first one i used. i was just checking my notes after class (im in the library now) and i discovered, much to my dismay, that i used the right formula, but the wrong data for part of the calculation. i mixed up the variable P for Ps (which is a fraction). I AM SO UPSET RIGHT NOW. i spent sooo much time looking back at that question and it was worth 10% of the entire exam! now, no matter what mark i get, i will think to myself, "it should have been 10% higher". not cool! :(

so after the 3 exams written in less than a day, i am exhausted and in need of food and sleep. but i am so mad at myself, my heart is actually racing and i dont think ill be able to rest that easily. GRJERJ*IRHY *(RYILHWLF :F:FL70#$!!!!!!!!!

it was a GOOD weekend!
fri: nighttime chinese dessert with alvin <3
sat: brunch with family, study (kinda) at 2ndcup, dinner at alvin's, chillll with arnold & kevin
sun: lunch with jaffray kids, crystal's bday rendevous
mon: breakfast with alvin, pmall, supermarket, poker

food is AWESOME, drool.
i brought roast beef and potato salad back to london, mmmm.

i had quite the intriguing talk with crystal on sunday. we've established that we are both untamed, cruel, self-serving valkyries (i always wanted to use that word after reading bridget-jones' diary/playing ff8!) so BEWARE, world! haha..

now i hafta study for those three exams... im getting a little anxious, finally. give me some time before i panic.

anyway, you probably wont read this, but i miss you lots already bb!
